The key

Ever wondered which part of the library resembled a maximum high security prison? Well this thought just dawned upon me as i sat on the top floor of Woodlands Regional Library sneaking a peek at the sixth grim security guard march past me.

"Boom..Boom!" His voice thundered across the vast expanse of open area. " Stop there kiddo! You're in direct violation of security code #12839. You reserve the right to remain silent. Everything you say can and will be used against you in the court of Law."
In simple terms, he barked "Stop there kid! No running about in the library," with a face you would often equate with a nightmare. The poor kid stared straight up at that blacker-than Bao Qing Tian face. (No pun intended, I do respect him..and his face) Time stood still. Then a shrill cry tore through the library. The rest is history.

As you can probably tell by now, I'm currently jailed in the children's section of the library. A bright and cheerful place where birds sing and children dance. Sadly, reality hurts. The library has a total of 14 librarians. Interestingly, 8 patrol the children's section with some sort of vigour, chiding innocent cherubs who so much as jump, walk at an increasingly accelerated mode or shout for joy.

The future of our nation lies in the hands of these children. Yet sometimes i wonder what Singapore's future will be like with such a current restricted and sheltered environment. Children will always be children, give them a chance to be what they really are.
Give them the key out of that high security prison..please
